John Benzan attended the College of the Holy Cross, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 1989, Benzan received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, where he was also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award.

Upon graduation, Benzan began his career as a Trial Attorney, working for the Office of the Attorney General and the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, specializing in Narcotics and Organized Crime. Benzan was also a Senior Associate at Lane, Altman and Owens.

Benzan currently has his own law practice in Newton, Massachusetts.
